Law Practice
Frank Lagesen is a veteran trial lawyer with nearly 50 years of experience. Prior to joining Cosgrave Vergeer Kester LLP in 1969, Frank was a Certified Public Accountant (retired). Frank’s practice focuses on professional liability, construction defects, employment, securities, environmental, commercial, and business litigation.
Education & Bar Admissions
Frank earned his bachelor’s degree in business/accounting at Portland State University in 1963 and his law degree at the University of Oregon Law School in 1969.
Frank was admitted to the Oregon State Bar and United States District Court for Oregon in 1969. He was admitted to the United States Tax Court in 1975, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals in 1980 and United States Supreme Court in 1981. He became a member of the Washington State Bar in 1987 and United States District Court for Washington’s Western and Eastern Divisions.
Professional
Frank is a member of the Multnomah Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the Oregon Association of Defense Counsel (Past President), the Oregon Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He has been approved by the Oregon Supreme Court to participate in the Oregon State Bar – New Lawyer Mentoring Program.
Frank is AV rated (highest rating) by the Martindale-Hubbell National Law Directory’s peer review for his ethical standards and legal ability.
Personal
When outside the office and courtroom, Frank enjoys being with his grandchildren, reading and golf.
