Law Practice
Shayna Rogers is an appellate lawyer who also specializes in advising trial attorneys on litigation strategy and in drafting and arguing complex motions.
Before joining Cosgrave, Shayna worked as a civil litigation and appellate attorney at another Oregon law firm for six years. Prior to that, Shayna clerked for the Honorable Erin Lagesen of the Oregon Court of Appeals.
Education & Bar Admissions
Shayna earned her bachelor’s degree in environmental science from the Oregon State University Honors College and a law degree from Lewis & Clark Law School, where she graduated magna cum laude. While attending law school, she was the editor-in-chief of the Animal Law Review. Shayna also completed externships with the Oregon State Legislature and the Lewis & Clark Legal Clinic. At the clinic, which provided free legal services to the Portland community, Shayna represented clients in consumer and bankruptcy matters.
Shayna became a member of the Oregon State Bar in 2013.
Professional
Shayna serves on the Oregon Humane Society Board of Directors and co-chairs the organization’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee. Shayna was previously the programming chair for the Oregon Women Lawyers Mary Leonard Chapter and the chair of the Oregon State Bar Public Service Advisory Committee.
